The Grace Christian School Music Program is designed to help students develop their God given talent for music. Children in grades Preppie Kindergarten through fifth grade attend music classes weekly. They are introduced to the language of music, it's symbols and how to write and perform music. Folk Dance and vocal production are a large part of the music program. All third graders learn to play the recorder and perform twice yearly. All fifth graders learn to play English handbells an perform during the Christmas Chapel. All students Preppie-K through fifth grade will participate in the Christmas Concert as well as Friday morning chapels.
GCS offers specialized music groups beyond our regular classroom music sections. Vocal and Instrumental Music is offered during special practice sessions before and after school. Feel free to browse this site for information on these specialty music groups!
All students in specialty music groups from small ensembles to the larger bands are required to be enrolled in lessons. These can take place through our music specialists here at Grace Christian School, or you may study privately from an instructor outside of school You can click below to download the registration form for music lessons.
