Here is some helpful information regarding Cafeteria Services. You may also access a copy of the menu from the information section of the website home page. If you have any questions, please call the school. Our cafeteria program operates on a system that saves you money and minimizes waste. Our system requires that users of cafeteria services order from the menu in advance. Experience has shown that most kids enjoy going over the menu with their parents and deciding together the days they prefer to eat in the cafeteria. Many students choose to eat in the cafeteria every day of the month. To insure your child receives what he/she wants, turn the menu in the due date. Ø Lunch prices are $3.00 for Preppie K –1st grade and $3.50 for 2nd – 6th grade. Ø For those students who have not ordered in advance, a lunch may be purchased in the buyer’s office before school on the day the lunch is needed. Ø Remember, the purpose of pre-ordering is to save waste and to keep lunch prices low. We need your help with this. Ø Students who need to get I.O.U's at the cafeteria window at lunch time will only have the choice of: Cup of Noodle Soup or Yogurt, plus a drink of choice. I.O.U.’s will be billed at the end of the week. Ø “Late order lunches” may vary from the monthly menu based on the amount of food prepared for the day and what we have on hand to serve. Ø Substitutions are available for all pre-paid lunches only and may include: 1. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich 2. Grilled cheese sandwich 3. Bagel and cream cheese 4. Yogurt Ø The cost of a drink is fifty cents (.50) for those who wish to buy a drink separately. Ø A lunch credit will be given to those children absent from school. Ø We sell snacks at recess and after school, ranging in price from 10 cents to $1.00. Ø We strive to serve nutritious, low-sugar, zero transfat, well-balanced meals. Please contact the food service office @ extension 255 regarding any food allergies so that we may monitor what your child eats at school.
