Mrs. Vanessa Miller
My name is Vanessa Miller, and this is my second year teaching at GCS. I received my teaching degree from Biola University and have put both my teaching degree and my Bible minor to use in a wide range of ways, including teaching at Spirit Academy their inaugural year, teaching violin in my home, giving the lecture for Community Bible Study, running a mom’s ministry at my church, teaching ESL, and a decade spent teaching homeschool classes to multi-age groups.
At home I am wife to Scott and mom to four kids. My oldest daughter is pursuing her PhD in physical chemistry at UCI. My second daughter is an F-15 mechanic in the Air Force. My third child is a boy and he is a freshman at CSULB. My youngest daughter is a freshman at Cypress High School. In my free time I enjoy cooking meals from scratch, eating really good food, and knitting incessantly.
I enjoy immersing myself in the junior high program and helping students stretch academically and spiritually. Ephesians 2:10 says we are God’s workmanship, created to do the work He prepared in advance for us to do. At this time in my life, I feel that GCS is the good work He has prepared me for. I am thoroughly enjoying this adventure!
