I will be teaching K-5th grade students the various elements and mediums of art. I will be incorporating the Meet the Masters art program to teach certain techniques and artist styles, while encouraging students to explore and develop their own styles. We will also be doing fun crafts geared towards bringing out and encouraging your child's creativity and God given talents! 6th grade will be exploring Hawaiian artist Heather Brown's unique style and incorporating her artistic style into their own masterpieces. 7th and 8th grade students have the option of taking art as an elective. Quarters will be divided into Drawing & painting, Animation, Ceramics and Recycle Underwater Creature Sculpture art. All of my students will be taught the different elements of art as well as drawing techniques.
With hard work and a positive attitude, I am confident your child will acquire many artistic skills and techniques that they will be able to use for years to come. I will try my best to work through any struggles or challenges your child may encounter along the way. I am looking forward to an amazing year and to getting to know each one of your children!
