Laura Price worked as an Associate Teacher at Grace Christian School for ten years in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades before moving to her much-loved role as third-grade teacher in 2010. This will be her ninth year teaching third grade. After receiving her BA in Communicative Disorders from CSULB, she took time off to raise her family.
Laura and her husband Rees, a captain for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, recently celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Their son, Adam (25), and daughter Rachel (23), both attended Grace from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Adam is now a Mechanical Engineer and Rachel is a Recreational Therapist.
This summer, Mrs. Price, and her partner teacher and best friend Mrs. Summers (along with their husbands), enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing cruise to Alaska. Besides enjoying the beautiful views of glaciers, they hiked, biked, rode on a train, ATV'd, zip-lined, and explored as much as they could while visiting the different ports. Can you believe the zip-line they rode took them to speeds of 60 mph, was 300 feet above the rain-forest below, 5,330 feet long, and dropped 1,330 feet? Sounds like fun!
