Kathleen Noel Dyer is a graduate of the School of Music at California State University, Long Beach, where she performed in the Los Angeles Debut Orchestra, the American Youth Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute. She is currently a student of Sarah Jackson as a Master's Candidate in Music with an emphasis on Piccolo Performance at Azusa Pacific University. She is a 1988 National Flute Association Piccolo Masterclass Performer and a 1993 Third Prize winner of the National Flute Association Piccolo Artist Competition. She is principal piccolo of the San Bernadino and Asia America Symphonies and the Los Angeles Classical Ballet Orchestra. Ms. Dyer is a contributing author for Flute Talk Magazine's column "Let's Talk Picc", and author of the piccolo tutorial "One Octave Higher".
